Date What Changed?
11/28/2002 After a house move and lots of experience with my system, it was time to set the brewery up slightly differently and get around to updating this website!!  Sorry to those of you that do check this website because nothing had changed since I implemented it!  Regardless, I have updated the email address at the bottom of this page to reflect my correct contact point!  I have added:
  • Added several new recipes that I have brewed, including the .REC file for Pro-Mash users and one of them I included the Excel statistics sheet I produce for some.
11/29/02 Added schematic diagram in Electrics section to show how I have wired the 240V side of the RIMS system.  Someone had emailed me a long time ago about this, but I just hadn't got around to it!
12/8/2002 Added two new recipes (Bass, Fullers).

Changed the ad format in Tripod to get rid of those pop up ads that REALLY PISS ME OFF!  Thats the problem with free hosting, I suppose someone has to pay for those servers!

Added the Beer!  Brew it, drink it, live it! image to the ad space that Tripod.com forces me to use, lets see if someone complains about that one!  I am sure it does not comply to their "usage agreement", d'oh, guess I never read it!

12/22/2002 Argh.  After so much frustration with V1 of the software, I can now release V2.0 of McKenzie Brewing RIMS software!  Like anyone cars/knows/worries about it :)

But, this version is so much nicer.  I took out a lot of issues, including removing buttons/presets on the mash that I never used.  I made all the data entry fields dynamic, 100%!  Now I can change the temp or time a step in the mash.  As each step is completed it now correctly determines how many hours/minutes/seconds are left in that step.  When the step is completed, it greys out and can no longer have data input.

I also changed it to be a single temperature point for the mash, this means I had to convert one of my stainless racking canes into a temp probe in the mash, but that's no issue, especially seeming as it now results in 100% accuracy of mash temperature!

03/04/2006 Started using Australian date format again ;)
28/05/2006 Motorized the malt mill using an XD Falcon windshield wiper motor!  Check out the Malt Mill page!  Thanks to Rob at Motorcycle Service Center for the machining!
07/06/2006 Added two links to the links page.
07/07/2006 Added a new page, Beer Related Documents that will be used as a bit of a library to store documents that I have found helpful with my brewing.
24/03/2007 Moved the Brewery page up in the navigation menu.  Added Guest Book for people to sign.
05/03/2007 Removed some old pages and some old photos
13/06/2007 Update Brewery page to include new photos of how the construction is progressing, 90% done!
01/07/2007 Finished Brewery, new brewery photos.  New RIMS photos of the setup now in brewery.  New software version.  Updated Links and photos.
19/08/2007 Added a new page, Hop Plantations to detail my attempt at growing my own hops!
25/08/2007 Added a new page, Are You Being Served, showing a glass of whatever I happen to take a photo of whilst its being drunk!

Updated the Conical page to show how the lid is held in place.

04/09/2007 Added two recipes to the recipe page, Black Watch Stout (Bert Grants Imperial clone) and Big Kilt (Sierra Nevada Bigfoot clone).  Both great American ales, with lots of Cascade, Centennial and Chinook hops.  YUM!
30/10/2007 Added some updated pictures of the hop plantation.
29/06/2008 Added Videos page with links to my YouTube videos.
08/07/2008 Added the start of the Mash Stirrer page, detailing the design and construction of the electric mash stirrer.
