Brewery Construction and Final Pictures

Brewery construction is complete!  Chris and I worked hard and it took over three months for us to convert a 6 meter by 9 meter shed by finishing off one half of it to make the brewery.  Its about 6 meters by 4.5 meters, fully insulated, lined, powered.  The only thing it lacks is running water, but I can bring that in through the door or through the window.  Its now a perfect environment for brewing and I am starting to decorate it with beer related paraphernalia, its starting to look pretty darn sweet.

The walls, floor and ceiling are rice hull tiles.  I got them from a friend for nothing by doing some computer repair work for him.

The table below shows some thumbnails that you can click on for much larger images of the picture.

Partially completed the framing process, electric has been installed by the sparkie.
Rear wall, the insulation (green bags) is stacked on top of the rice hull tiles that will be used for roof, floor and walls, instead of plaster board (dry wall)
The wall material is made of rice hull tiles (4' by 4').  We already have the wiring installed for speakers hung on the wall, just so I can listen to tunes whilst brewing.  Well, actually, its for the Xbox 360 or some hyped up gaming computer, but dont let the wife know!
Rear left walls showing how the steel frames of the shed have been framed in and tiled in green rice hull tile.  Also shows the floor pattern.  The floor has been given three coats of polyurethane, three more coats to go!
Showing the door and window framing,  The bloke in the picture is my step son that helped me with the whole project.  Not a bad job for a couple of blokes that have never done this kind of work before!

At this point, its a matter of polyurethane on the walls & ceiling and a few more coats on the floor, then the brewery can be set up and the brewing start!

Final brewery showing some of the decorations I have accumulated, beer signs, beer coasters from around the world and beer trays.
Final brewery showing some of the setup of my RIMS system on the right hand side, the conical fermenter and some of m kegs waiting to be filled.  The funny flowery looking things are an old sleeping bag I had my wife convert into carboy covers!
