The trellis from the house side. |

Trellis from the fenceline side, you can see two wire cages at the base of the two right posts, the right cage has Goldings under it and the left one has Pride Of Ringwood. I am getting some Tettenang soon and then will be looking for some Cascade.
Hop Varieties |
Winter 2008, new hop nursery where I have planted two new Pride Of Ringwood and three Chinook rhizomes, will attach water drippers when the weather warms and the shoots start. |
Winter 2008, new posts for future hop placements, part of a new pumpkin/cucumber patch. |
Spring 2008, Goldings are starting to shoot in abundance. |
Spring 2008, Tettenang shoots, not many, but very strong looking. |
February 2009 Goldings. As you can see, the bines are very tangled, next year I am going to add an extra length of pole and strings for them to climb on. Also going to restrict the rhizome to only 8 bines. |
Cascade February 2009 . Same comment about growing for the Goldings above. |
Hop nursery February 2009. These Chinook and POR will be in the ground this winter, I already have a bed and growing poles ready for them for the spring of 2009. Out of this nursery I will have two spare Chinook, a spare POR and two Goldings cuttings I have grown. I will swap these for some new varieties or give them away. |
